It’s time for another round of “…Interpreted with Anime Songs” !

This time I finished reading Lamentations. The idea of Lamentations is to Lament. The definition of Lament is,

la·ment
ləˈment
noun
1.
a passionate expression of grief or sorrow.

I draw in my bible. So I drew all sorts of things like dead babies and deer with arrows sticking out of them. This is a graphic book. It is NOT the psalms. This books its full of heart breaking terminology. It hurts to read this book. There is no much death, grief, and despair.

“He has made me dwell in darkness like those long dead.” Lamentations 3:6

This book of the bible shows that it is OK to be depressed, which is good news to me because I struggle with depression. Sadness is a part of being human. But we cannot be lost in our sorrow. We need to hold onto Hope.

“Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.” Lamentations 3:22

Even when there were dead babies in the streets, God’s punishment for their wicked ways, the people still worshiped God. We need to have faith like that.

First up is,

Nakushita Kotoba – by No Regret Life

This was Naruto’s 9th ending song

The things I hold in my hands are droplets of time
Softly I grasp them, forgotten memories, lost words

Hitotsu hitotsu omoidaseba
Subete wakatteita kigashite ita no ni
Iroaseta kotoba wa boku no sugu soba ni oite atta

I remember them one by one
And though I felt like I understood all them
The words faded as soon as they got near me

Kotae no denai yoru to
Hitokira no nukumori to
Haruka kanata no akogare to
Tada sore dake wo kurikaeshi boku wa ikite iru

An evening without an apparent answer
Flakes of warmth
Longing for something faraway
I live repeating these over and over

Kono ryoute ni kakaete iru mono toki no shizuku
Sotto nigirishimete wasureta kioku nakushita kotoba

The things I hold in my hands are droplets of time
Softly I grasp them, forgotten memories, lost words

Anata ga omou koto wo sameru koto nakutemo to ni tsukamitai no ni
“Hito” dearu bokutachi wa sono kimochi wo wakachi aenai mama

I want to grasp all of your thoughts before they cool
As “people”, we still can’t share that feeling

Kotoba ga hanatsu imi wo
Tatoe no nai omoi wo
Kotaeru koto no nai kanjou wo
Mitsumeaeba tsutawaru koto ga dekitara ii no ni na

The meaning your words give
The feelings with no comparison
Emotions with no answer
If only we could communicate by meeting eye to eye

Kono ryoute ni kakaete iru mono toki no shizuku
Sotto nigirishimete wasureta kioku nakushita kotoba

The things I hold in my hands are droplets of time
Softly I grasp them, forgotten memories, lost words

Kono omoi wa mune ni shimatte okou

I’ll keep these feelings in my heart

“Nakushite shimatta…”

“I’ve lost them…”

Lay Me Down – by Sam Smith

Yes, I do, I believe
That one day I will be
Where I was right there
Right next to you

And it’s hard
The days just seem so dark
The moon and the stars
Are nothing without you

Your touch, your skin
Where do I begin?
No words can explain
The way I’m missing you

Deny this emptiness
This hole that I’m inside
These tears
They tell their own story

Told me not to cry when you were gone
But the feeling’s overwhelming, it’s much too strong

Can I lay by your side?
Next to you, you
And make sure you’re alright
I’ll take care of you
I don’t want to be here if I can’t be with you tonight

I’m reaching out to you
Can you hear my call?
This hurt that I’ve been through
I’m missing you, missing you like crazy

[This verse is only in the album version:]
You told me not to cry when you were gone
But the feeling’s overwhelming, it’s much too strong

Can I lay by your side?
Next to you, you
And make sure you’re alright
I’ll take care of you
I don’t want to be here if I can’t be with you tonight

Lay me down tonight
Lay me by your side
Lay me down tonight
Lay me by your side
Can I lay by your side?
Next to you
You

The Last Goodbye – by Billy Boyd

I saw the light fade from the sky
On the wind I heard a sigh
As the snowflakes cover my fallen brothers
I will say this last goodbye

Night is now falling
So ends this day
The road is now calling
And I must away
Over hill and under tree
Through lands where never light has shone
By silver streams that run down to the sea

Under cloud, beneath the stars
Over snow one winter’s morn
I turn at last to paths that lead home
And though where the road then takes me
I cannot tell
We came all this way
But now comes the day
To bid you farewell

Many places I have been
Many sorrows I have seen
But I don’t regret
Nor will I forget
All who took the road with me

Night is now falling
So ends this day
The road is now calling
And I must away
Over hill and under tree
Through lands where never light has shone
By silver streams that run down to the sea

To these memories I will hold
With your blessing I will go
To turn at last to paths that lead home
And though where the road then takes me
I cannot tell
We came all this way
But now comes the day
To bid you farewell

I bid you all a very fond farewell

The Judge – by Twenty One Pilots

Na na na na, oh oh
Na na na na, oh oh
Na na na na, oh oh

When the leader of the bad guys sang,
Something soft and soaked in pain,
I heard the echo from his secret hideaway,
He must’ve forgot to close his door,
As he cranked out those dismal chords,
And his four walls declared him insane.

I found my way,
Right time, wrong place,
As I pled my case.

You’re the judge, oh no, set me free,
You’re the judge, oh no, set me free,
I know my soul’s freezing,
Hell’s hot for good reason, so please, take me.

Na na na na, oh oh
Na na na na, oh oh
Na na na na, oh oh

Three lights are lit but the fourth one’s out,
I can tell ’cause it’s a bit darker than the last night’s bout,
I forgot about the drought of light bulbs in this house,
So I head out, down a route I think is heading south,

But I’m not good with directions and I hide behind my mouth,
I’m a pro at imperfections and I’m best friends with my doubt,
And now that my mind’s out, and now I hear it clear and loud,
I’m thinking, “Wow, I probably shoulda stayed inside my house.”

I found my way,
Right time, wrong place,
As I pled my case.

You’re the judge, oh no, set me free,
You’re the judge, oh no, set me free,
I know my soul’s freezing,
Hell’s hot for good reason, so please,

I don’t know if this song is a surrender or a revel,
I don’t know if this one is about me or the devil.

I don’t know if this song is a surrender or a revel,
I don’t know if this one is about me or the devil.

You’re the judge, oh no, set me free, oh no
You’re the judge, oh no, set me free, oh no
I know my soul’s freezing,
Hell’s hot for good reason, so please,

Na na na na, oh oh
Na na na na, oh oh
Na na na na, oh oh
Na na na na, oh oh (You’re the judge, oh no, set me free)
Na na na na, oh oh (You’re the judge, oh no, set me free)
Na na na na, oh oh (You’re the judge, oh no, set me free)
(Josh Dun!)
(You’re the judge, oh no, set me free)
